The City of White
Reblogged from A French Frye in Paris:
How do you enjoy snow in Paris? You go out in search of hills, of course!
And there's probably no better place to find them than what used to be a sparse, windmill-dotted countryside outside the city limits: Montmartre.
There was a sense of event in the city this weekend as Paris got hit with the most snow it's seen in 24 years, and not wanting to miss out on the spectacle I abandoned the promise of a cozy peaceful Sunday at home and schlepped a camera and many layers of clothing into the great white tundra.

Crunkatlanta to help you break into the marketplace….
The music
industry is one of the most competitive industries in the world today. With
millions of artists around the globe looking for their big break, it’s tough to
be the needle in the haystack that gets called out. Both the Detroit
music scene and the Atlanta music
scene have often been considered some of the toughest places for an artist to
get recognized. Even if you’ve got the talent that’s needed to make it big,
you’ve got to have the right presence and the resources to let people beyond
your circle of friends find out who you are and listen to the music you put
down. It’s with that in mind that you should consider an Atlanta
music promoter to help you get your start. While you have the talent, an Atlanta
music promoter is going to give you an opportunity far beyond that of your own
connections.
music is in fact about making sure all of your friends and family know the
talent that you’re capable of. After all, it takes one person to hear you and
realize what you can do to get you recognized in the music industry.
Unfortunately, that one person is usually difficult to find, and it’s even
harder to get your music in front of them. An Atlanta
music promoter knows how to promote music and sell your talents. Promoting
yourself isn’t just about handing out your mixtape, but convincing people that
they should take the time to listen to it. As an Atlanta
music promoter knows the ways to convince people that your talents are worth a
few minutes of radio time.
marketing is the first step in making people know who you are. Through social
media, street promotion and other online and offline channels, an Atlanta
music promoter will make sure that people know who you are and recognize your
“brand”, giving you more credibility. People who have heard of you before they
have heard of you are twice as likely to listen to your music, and only an Atlanta
music promoter knows how to make sure you get heard of.Just contact me – Crunkatlanta@gmail.com

Flown “Pop It” featuring Waka Flocka @mrflown

A young artist who’s seemingly lived in more states than he hasn’t (CA, HI, NC, MD, VA, SC, TX, and DC to name a few), Flown is an emerging emcee whose breadth of influences has birthed a sound that’s a blend of a little bit of everything that’s likable about hip-hop. Not pigeonholed in that hipster niche or college rapper lane, nor skateboarding with a backpack on headed for his trap house, you may not be able to immediately put your finger on Flown’s sound sight-unheard. All you’ll know is that once you press play, it’s dope.
As an amalgamation of so many diverse flavors of American culture, Flown fluidly and authentically incorporates elements from the south, east, and west, to produce music that’s unapologetic “now” and maybe even ahead of its time. His universally appealing sound is especially appreciable in this image-sells era of one-dimensional “industry plants.” He’s not “one of those guys.” He’s Flown.
Yet Flown isn’t merely attempting to glue together a hodge-podge of pieces and hope that they stick. He simply seamlessly makes genuine quality music that’s starting to garner attention from hip-hop heavyweights, and the music community at-large and for good reason.
Flown’s latest effort “Project Flown,” (to be released 12/21/12) for example, features co-signs and collabs from the likes of French Montana (on “Add It Up”) and Waka Flocka Flame (on “Pop It.”) Flown dropped “Pop It” featuring Waka Flocka in late October to a positive critical response from the hip-hop blogosphere. A “trailer video” of the song was even featured on the infamous worldstarhiphop.com and overall it generated over one-hundred thousand hits online in a span of a few weeks.
If “Pop It,” is a barometer for Flown’s talent as an artist and his buzz continues to grow proportionate to the positivity of the reception the single received, Flown stands to be a young rapper with a very high ceiling. Presently, Flown is finishing up “Project Flown” with his in-house production team Grindstine and Roger Beat of Roger Beat Music.
The near future should bring radio rotation for “Pop It” as well as an accompanying video (again featuring Waka.) Flown and his Roger Beat Music mates are also slated to appear in an upcoming issue of Hip Hop Weekly. For more on Flown check out www.mrflown.com and catch up with him on twitter @mrflown. You can also follow Roger Beat @rogerbeat and Grindstine @GRINDSTINE. Flown will be hosting Club Ibiza Friday November 23rd in Washington, DC along with breakout artist Trinidad James. Project Flown drops December 21st.
